Application: MOLCLAY™ LK is commonly used in pharmaceutical formulations as an absorbent, suspending agent and topical protectant. It is also used in topical creams, lotions and medicated powders to absorb moisture and soothe irritated skin. It helps adsorb bacteria, toxins, excess fluid and gastrointestinal irritants, providing symptomatic relief from mild diarrhea. Its fine particle size makes it ideal for oral suspensions, ensuring uniform dispersion and stability.

(A) A gelatinous white precipitate is produced.

3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water and in mineral acids.
4 Coarse particles Not more than 25 mg.
5 Fine particles The weight of the residue from the second portion is not less than 70% of the weight of the residue from the first portion.
6 Arsenic Not more than 2 ppm.
7 Chloride Not more than 330 ppm.
8 Loss on drying Not more than 1.5%.
9 Loss on ignition Not more than 15.0%.
10 Soluble matter Not more than 10 mg.

PACKAGING

MOLCLAY™ LK is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. It is preserved in well-closed containers.
